In my three years at Swinburne I was able to experience all facets of filmmaking, including a wide variety of cameras and formats. In my final year I focused my attention on the camera department. I worked on several productions in various roles, including cinematography, camera operating and assisting.

Rentals assistant
I am responsible for the preperation of camera kits for rental. Working with with the latest equipment every day helps keep me up to date with new technologies and well practiced in their operation. I have developed an extensive knowledge of Sony and Panasonic professional cameras and associated workflows, including Sony’s XDCAM, HDCAM and Digital BETACAM and Panasonic’s DVCPro50 and DVCProHD formats.

Independent George (2010 ‐ Present) – Melbourne, Victoria

Michael Barnes, Dale Bartlett and I decided to start our own production company to combine our love of music and video, we are called Independent George. Our aim is to use our diverse talents to capture live music and create music videos of a high quality without a huge budget.

Installer/Admin
As an installer I was responsible to installing many different types of communications equipment into cars, trucks, taxis and earth moving machinery. I also spent some time fault finding and repairing, a skill that I have been able to bring into the camera department.
